Williston Juniors go PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness

At our October 1st meeting the members of the GFWC Williston Junior Woman's Club, and their guests, wore pink in honor of National Brest Cancer Awareness Month.  Members were reminded that breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women (first is skin cancer) and that early detection is the key to a cure.  Homelife Department chairman Jessica Moran instructed members to go home and do their monthly self exams that night.  Mammograms were also encouraged for members with a family history of breast cancer and for members over 40.  For more information on breast cancer please visit the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month website at www.nbcam.org
