Williston Citizen of the Year 2009 Named

The Williston Citizen of the Year award is sponsored every year by the GFWC Williston Junior Woman’s Club. The 2009 recipient of this honor is Justin Head.

 

 

 

Little Miss Williston Sarah Dykstra, Junior Miss Williston Harley White, and Miss Williston Taylor Acree present Justin Head with a plaque naming him 2009 Williston Citizen of the Year at the Independence Day Celebration at Horseman's Park on July 3rd. 

 

 

 

Justin graduated from Williston High School & the University of Florida. He is an active member of the community, involved in the Chamber of Commerce for the past 5 years and as President for the past 2 years. Justin is also a member of the Rotary Club of Williston. He was the Sergeant at Arms for the Rotary club and is the incoming Membership Committee Chairman.

 

Through his job at Perkins State Bank, Justin also helps the Williston community. Justin has chaired the Perkins Financial Group Charity Golf Tournament for several years. In 2008, he won the Prestigious Chairman’s Award. An award presented to an employee each year that demonstrates the qualities that Perkins hold highly-such as service, trust and commitment.

 

Justin also helps with the Williston Relay for life, Children’s Miracle Network fundraisers and various other fundraisers throughout our community.  He is married and the father of 2 beautiful children. He is a true example for the community and we are fortunate to have him. Justin is always willing to lend a hand. His courteous, likable personality is a warm welcome to everyone around him.
