This annual Marketing Award is presented to an outstanding Junior Club that effectively promotes the GFWC Florida Federation’s name, image and objectives. It was established in 1996 in honor of Gail Hill-Smith for her outstanding vision to unify and “brand” the volunteer strength with one name, one marketing image. The establishment of this marketing momentum within the Florida Federation impacted future action at the International Level. We received this award from the efforts of the 2007 Daddy's Sweetheart Dance.

Also, we received a $1000 One Voice for Children grant that will be used to purchase car seats and hold car seat checks in the Williston area. Thank you, Debora Regan for writing our grant application. We couldn't continue this article without mentioning the great leadership roles our club holds in the state. Our own Dara Bergdoll was elected FFWC Vice Director of Junior Clubs 2008-2010. That makes Dara third in command for the entire state. Congratulations Dara, we are proud of you!
