Membership is open to all women ages 18-40 in the Williston area who want to make a difference in their community. Meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at the Williston Woman's Club, and visitors are always welcome.
The GFWC Williston Junior Woman’s Club was established on February 3, 1950 with 25 members in order to provide the young women of Williston an opportunity for community service. On April 25, 1950 at the annual GFWC Convention, the Club was granted a Charter and received into the Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs (FFWC) and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC).
Nearly 100,000 members strong, the General Federation of Women's Clubs is united in its dedication to volunteer community service. While diverse in age, interests, and experiences, all clubwomen are united by a desire to create positive change in their communities. On April 24, 2015, Federation Day, GFWC celebrated its 125th Anniversary.
The 2014- 2016 administration, lead by Carole Weaver, has chosen Canine Companions for Independence focusing on “the wounded warrior”.
